About NADIA
I started dancing at the age of three with ballet as my foundation and jazz as my passion. Along with dance, I have also trained, competed, and coached gymnastics at a National level in Montreal, Canada.
My training includes ballet, jazz, hip-hop, modern, tap, African, and contemporary styles. I have also studied Graham, Laban, and Horton techniques.
In my earlier years, with the following: The Bolshoi, The Kirov, Dance Theater of Harlem, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, The National Ballet of Canada, Toronto Dance Theater, Alberta Ballet, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet, New York City Ballet, Chicago Ballet, Boston Ballet, Houston Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, and the Kansas City Ballet company. I danced full time on Vancouver Island with the late Constantine Darling in his professional training program from ages 12 to 17.
While living on Vancouver Island, I taught for numerous dance schools and public schools. I was the artistic director of the dance program at the Kaleidoscope Theater in Victoria, B.C. and was the full-time Jazz and Hip-Hop instructor at Nuance Dance Studios in Kamloops. I also have had the opportunity to choreograph for several live stage musicals.
I had experience managing my own dance studio in the interior from 2004 to 2007 and have over 20 years of teaching experience in Jazz, Hip-Hop and Contemporary dance. I enjoy working with competitive dancers along with a deep love and passion for choreography.
Presently, I have taken my love affair with performance art and transferred it to photography where I am able to capture feelings, movement and essence.
In addition, I have recently completed The Academy Of Real Estate Photography certification, where I studied architectural photography and advanced post-production techniques.
I hold a Level 3 (Master Practitioner) Reiki certification and a certification in Herbal Medicine.
Currently, I am taking a Yoga Instructors Teacher program And a Qigong course, comprised of ancient movement, breathwork and science.
